Homebound Meal Program
Arrangements for a homebound meal can be made by calling 1 (800) 552-3662. Aging and In-Home Services of N.E. Indiana, Inc. assist older adults and disabled. Special waiver for fragile children.
Telephone Reassurance
Living alone can be frightening for frail or ill older adults. This program reaches older adults through regular phone calls, helping them feel secure and safe in their own homes. Volunteers check on the person’s well-being and define emergency situations when necessary.
Tax Assistance
Volunteers trained through the IRS assist older adults and low income persons with preparation of tax forms.
Senior Sunshine Newsletter
This monthly newsletter is published by the COA and its purpose is to provide updated information about health, nutrition, assistance programs, local events and activities at the Senior Center and the Adult Day Service. Contact the COA for subscription information or
for the on-line version.
Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program
Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIIP) is a program that gives qualified, objective, free assistance to senior citizens and other Medicare beneficiaries who have concerns or questions about their health insurance.
A SHIIP representative is available Friday 9:30-10:30 a.m., by appointment only.
